The BOSâNOVA TCP/IP Management Module is an add-on to the BOSâNOVA TCP/IP client emulation product, intended for large-scale customers. It enables quick and easy installation, upgrade, and user/group configuration (including user policies). It provides central management capabilities without interruption or modification of existing workstations.

The Management Module streamlines and simplifies a variety of management tasks, such as remote workstation configurations based on user and/or group.

The BOSâNOVA TCP/IP Management Module offers the following:
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks from a single location on the network, including installation, upgrade, and configuration.
- Remote setup of printer definitions, and remote control of user/group permissions.
- Quick and easy restoration of all parameters (including macros, printer definitions, keyboard mapping, etc.) on workstations that have undergone reformatting or operating system upgrade.
- Independence from the server when necessary; if the server fails the workstations continue to communicate with the iSeries, using the most recent parameters obtained by the workstation.
- Supports customization based on customer requirements (for additional fee), such as user identification based on User Name, Computer Name, or workstation IP Address.
