Press Release: BOSaNOVA Inc. Announces Remote Access Server

Provides alternate connectivity for remote users when Internet connection is lost

Phoenix, Arizona, Thursday, February 20, 2003 - Martin Pladgeman, President of BOSaNOVA, Inc., the North American Master Distributor of BOScom products, announces that BOScom is releasing a new Remote Access Server, the BOSâNOVA LANLynk, to provide dial-up access to remote users.

"In addition to benefiting remote and home workers, the BOSâNOVA LANLynk Remote Access Server provides an alternative connection to LAN resources if the standard IP connection is lost," Pladgeman notes. "Many companies are interested in this type of solution as they focus on disaster recovery. It features solid security via integrated dial-up firewall and callback."

Pladgeman observed that since Shiva, Ericsson and 3Com abandoned the Remote Access Server marketplace, there are only two choices left for iSeries users who want to ensure that their remote users can connect when their Internet connection is down. "The BOSâNOVA LANLynk RAS is very attractively priced, and will do well in this market," Pladgeman predicted.

BOSâNOVA LANLynk is a complete, secure, reliable and easy-to-maintain solution providing users on Windows 95/98/Me/NT/XP/2000 with dial-up access to LAN resources via TCP/IP. This unique product includes all the hardware and software for complete LAN access. It consists of a standalone remote access server (RAS) unit and Windows-based management software. It supports either 2 or 6 concurrent high-speed modem connections.

  Pricing and Availability
The BOSâNOVA LANLynk 2-port Model 6902 has a suggested retail list price of $1,400, and the 6-port Model 6906 lists at $1,800. Both models are currently shipping.
