BOScom Announces New Product: BOSâNOVA Thin PC

Software product endows PC with benefits of a thin client computing while preserving the hardware investment

San Antonio, Texas (COMMON Expo), May 2, 2004 - BOScom, Ltd. today announced the release of a new software product that effectively turns a personal computer into a thin client. Named the BOSâNOVA Thin PC, this product is distributed on a CD and installs on the PC's hard disk. Once the installation is complete, the PC boots up like a Thin Client. The PC can then be managed with the Remote Administrator, just like its Thin Client counterparts.
The trend to move from PC computing to Thin Clients is picking up steam, since the benefits are readily apparent to most IT managers:
- Central configuration and user management, which drastically reduce cost of ownership
- Complete control over user's desktop, which enhances security, prevents configuration changes, and eases deployment
However, companies with a large investment in a PC network hesitate when they consider abandoning their hardware to incorporate the new Thin Client technology into their organizations.
