Answers to iSeries & AS/400 connectivity issues now available around-the-clock on new BOScom web

Completely revised www.bosweb.com features mini white papers and on-line knowledge base for quick answers to pesky questions

Teradion, Israel, January 10, 2003 - BOScom, a subsidiary of B.O.S. Better On-line Solutions, has reaffirmed its commitment to educating iSeries & AS/400 users about the intricacies of connectivity with the publication of a new web site, www.bosweb.com, announces Martin Pladgeman, BOScom US President.

"No iSeries or AS/400 is an island unto itself. There are many demands for connectivity, both remote and local," notes Pladgeman. "BOScom has built its connectivity business and reputation on two pillars: excellent products and unequaled support. Now we are making the knowledge of our experienced technical and support staff available on the web for around-the-clock access. This information is there for anyone with a question - no password or log-in is required."

"We believe that the more information iSeries and AS/400 users have, the better they can make the right decision for their circumstances," Pladgeman explains. "Having informed customers and prospects makes good business sense for us, and it benefits the entire IBM midrange community."

Mini white papers available to all

Anyone with questions on how to implement connectivity can find answers under the "AS/400 Solutions" tab on www.bosweb.com. "This is where you can find a series of mini white papers that lay out the issues, challenges and solutions in plain English. These are excellent for the IT manager and can be used to brief non-IT management, too," Pladgeman notes.

The mini white papers address the following topics:

Support Knowledge Base for answers when you need them

"We are supplementing our one-on-one telephone support -- provided by highly experienced people in our Israel, U.S. and U.K. offices-- by adding a knowledge base that our customers can consult for quick answers to frequently asked questions," Pladgeman explains.

The knowledge base is searchable by text or by article ID. For example, the user could find the article "Java 2 on AS/400" which was posted by BOScom support on November 2, 2002, either by entering the text "Java" or by entering the article number 42.

New web site is up and running

BOScom's new web site - www.bosweb.com - is now up and running. "Visitors will find the site easier to navigate than our old web site," says Ruth Bridger, BOScom US Director of Marketing. "We invite visitors to leave questions, comments or suggestions on how to make it even more user friendly.
