BOScom Rounds Out its Thin Client Offering with CE.NET

New Model Improves Windows CE.NET Browser Capabilities While Providing Cost-Effective Server Access for iSeries Customers

Phoenix, AZ: February 10, 2004 -- Alongside its award-winning Linux-based LTC Series and the recently released XP-embedded model, BOScom is announcing a Windows CE.NET-based thin client. The latest offering in the BOScom thin client family, the BOSâNOVA WTC-400, is specifically tailored for iSeries shops that need a simple, cost-effective solution for connectivity to a server, whether it be iSeries, Microsoft Terminal Server, and/or Citrix.

"Like other award-winning products offered by industry-veteran BOScom, the BOSâNOVA WTC-400 provides unique advantages to iSeries customers," stated Martin Pladgeman, President of BOSaNOVA, Inc. "For example, other CE.NET-based thin clients support only full-screen applications, while the BOSâNOVA WTC-400 allows management of multiple browser windows within a single browser instance. As a result, even pop-up windows (which typically require the user to close the new window in order to revert to the parent window) are no longer a distraction to the user's workflow. This capability vastly improves the user experience and increases productivity."

The BOSâNOVA WTC-400 joins the Linux-based BOSâNOVA LTC Series (named in Search400.com's 2003 Product of the Year awards in the PC/Windows Connectivity Tools Category) and the BOSâNOVA XTC-400 (the recently announced Windows XP-based model) in BOScom's rapidly growing family of thin client solutions.

The BOSâNOVA WTC-400, based on a 400 MHz VIA processor with 64MB RAM and 32MB DOM, utilizes the same Remote Administration software as the BOSâNOVA LTC Series. It comes embedded with the IE 6 Web browser; Pop3 email; VNC Client; Citrix NFuse; Tarantella; Word, Excel and PowerPoint viewers; and a PDF reader. Support for TN5250e/TN3270e GUI display and printing emulations is also included, as are the very latest RDP and ICA clients for connection to Microsoft Terminal Servers and Citrix, respectively. The BOSâNOVA WTC-400 units also feature large icons in the Connection Manager, and support touch screen and the BOSâNOVA 122-key keyboard, which increases user productivity by providing the full range of function keys for both Windows Terminal Server and iSeries applications.

Availability
The BOSâNOVA WTC-400 is available now via BOScom's distribution channel. Demo units are also available - call (866) 865-5250 for details or write to us. Reseller inquiries welcome.
