Web Facing |
| |
The task of Web-facing iSeries applications is rapidly moving to the top of the IT department's "To do" list, as companies extend their Intranets and Extranets to the Internet.
There are many approaches to web facing, with a range of effort and cost attached. BOScom's solution is quick, easy and correspondingly cost-effective. It does not require a major investment of IT resources or budget.
BOScom's Java-based Jadvantage solution provides secure 5250 display and print emulation via Internet browser, thereby web-enabling existing applications without changing underlying code. Its powerful, built-in MorphMasterTM GUI-on-the-fly configurator makes screen customization a breeze. Rich features, such as Show Picture, Background Bitmap, and Graphic Action Buttons will make your AS400 application look right at home on the Web.
There is no need to install client software on client workstations. Jadvantage is installed only on the AS/400 or NT server and is automatically deployed to all Internet- or network-attached workstations using a Web browser, keeping implementation and updating tasks at a minimum.
Jadvantage ships with a "thin" Web server, which eliminates the need to purchase costly Web servers from IBM or others.
Powerful, three-layer security (i.e., data encryption, IP address verification, and Jadvantage server log-in), safeguards the organization's data and applications.
